Fun Weekend!

This past Friday I got to spend some time with my neices. The fire department has been training across the street so we were able to visit them and see the trucks. They gave them lots of goodies - hats, pencils, erasers, books, combs and more. They were pretty excited to fill up their bags. They also had a lot of fun playing with the toys and jumping on the trampoline. Claire really liked it and did not want to get off when it was time to go.

On Saturday Leah had her birthday party. This year she wanted to have everyone over for a sleepover and to play. The kids had a lot of fun running and playing. Later on we had a fire and they made s'mores.

Here is a photo of the girls the next morning - still with lots of energy!

GreenBay Cellcom 1/2 marathon

On Sunday Lisa and I got up early to go and run the GreenBay Cellcom 1/2 marathon. It was a beautiful day and we were looking forward to it. We thought that we would try running with a pacer this time, but due to very limited restrooms, we got to the start line just in time. The pacer took off pretty quick and did not stop for the water stops. After about mile 4 I decided that I would not be able to keep up at his pace without stopping at the water stops so we lost him. It still ended up being one of our best runs and we got to run around Lambeau Field at the end.

The created a special 26.2 new brew just for the runners. I did not think it was that great :-)
We also had to pose with our brat that we got at the finish.

Graduation!

Yea! This past weekend I had my graduation at UW-Whitewater for my MBA, International Business. The ceremony was quite long - but I was happy that Ryan and Leah (and mom, dad and Sue) were able to be there to see what I had accomplished. Ryan and Leah wanted to be a part and can't wait until they get to graduate. They had to take turns practicing wearing the cap and holding the (empty) diploma. It is nice to be finished and to be able to add this to my resume.

Now I am working on finding a job. I have applied for a couple that sound like they could be really good. Hopefully I will be posting in a couple of months that I found something. In the meantime, I am still keeping busy with everything that the kids have going on.

Indy Mini

This past weekend Lisa and I met Stephanie in Indianapolis for the Indy Mini half marathon. When we arrived on Friday it was 84 but windy. At 7:00 Saturday morning it was about 40 and super windy. This is the largest half marathon in the country. There are over 35,000 people who run it. The highlight is running 2 1/2 miles around the race track. The run went well and it was nice to spend some time with my sisters.
