Visitors

Stephanie, Ethan and the girls came to visit us at our new house. It was great to see them - only wish that they were able to stay longer. We went for walks to the "park" (playground at Leah's school) and gave the girls a tour of Monroe. They had fun at the Swiss Colony outlet store and then we had to go to Ryan and Leah's favorite ice-cream place. Ethan, with Ryan at his side, was awesome and helped with some needed work on the house. He put in a new door knob and fixed the dryer vent to name a couple of things. It was greatly appreciated!!

It was a great time and hopefully we will be able to get together again soon!

Turkey Hunting

Ryan went turkey hunting this year for the first time. Lisa's boyfriend Nick - who loves to hunt - took him. Ryan was excited about going. It was a rainy morning but off they went. About 9:30 the phone rang and it was Ryan who was thrilled that he got one. It is a Jake, which is a younger turkey. He had to show it off to everyone and wanted to save the feathers and beard.
Leah wanted to keep the foot. She was a little upset that she was not old enough to go but asked many questions about what she could hunt in the fall and wants to go squirrel and rabbit hunting. I guess I better get her signed up for hunters safety!! I am very happy that we have family that is willing to take them so that they can have these experiences.
