Brewer Game

Last night the kids and I and some friends went to the Brewer game. Ryan was excited to get one of the game balls. He didn't catch a foul ball, but caught a ball that was thrown into the stands after an inning was done.

Here he is will it.
Here are the kids and I. Leah enjoys the games (and all the junk food).

Playing at Miller Park

This year for Little League Ryan is playing on team "Astros". The were able to play in Hafer Field at Miller Park. It was chilly, but the rain held off until after their game was finished.

Here is a team photo - Ryan is in the front row - far left.
Here he is up to bat.

and in the outfield. The kids had a lot of fun playing there. It was a great experience.

Webelo Scout

Two weeks ago Ryan had a camp out at Ross Lodge and crossed over from being a Bear Cub to Webelos. We cooked out first and had brats and hotdogs. Then I took my den for a hike in the woods - which they loved. After that was the ceremony around the fire. Then rootbeer floats and s'mores. I don't have any photos, but the boyscouts are one of three organizations that are allowed to retire flags. We had a very awesome ceremony retiring flags.

Here is the Den after crossing over to Webelos - they have their new neckerchief on. Ryan will also change from the blue shirt to the tan one.
Here he is crossing the bridge.

Happy Birthday Leah!

Happy 7th Birthday Leah! Today for Leah's birthday she go to start the day off by helping to clean up a park. Then she had a gymnastics birthday party with some of her friends. The place was a lot of fun. The person helping us knew how to keep the kids attention.

They started out on the long trampoline. Here is Leah doing some sort of jump.
Next they got to jump in the big foam pit. Everyone loved that! They also got to swing on a rope and drop in.
Then it was free time. Leah was excited to be able to do her tricks on a real balance beam.
Here she is with her gymnastics cake. All the kids loved it - most had seconds.

Clean up time!

This morning Ryan and Leah and I helped to clean up a park in Greenfield for Boyscouts. We were lucky that we had nice weather. Here is Ryan picking up some trash by the little stream.

Here is a bunch of the kids together.

And everyone after they finished cleaning up.

The Moon!

In school Ryan has been learning about space and the moon. He had a project where he had to make a pie that looked like the surface of the moon. He had a lot of fun making it.

Weekend

This past weekend mom and dad came to visit and celebrate dad's, Sue's and Leah's birthdays and Mothers Day. We went out to dinner and had some good food at a new restaurant that we tried.

Saturday night I helped make and serve a dinner at the Rep for the actors. This one was Mexican themed. I made the guac and desserts. I tried making churros for the first time and they turned out pretty well. Here I am putting out some taco shells.
Tonite Ryan had his first little league game tonight. His team won 13-8 which was nice.
