Harmelink Party

On Saturday we had the "Harmelink" Christmas party. There was face painting and games for the kids. Santa also stopped by for a visit. Here is a picture of Ryan, Leah and I with the jolly man...

We also had the annual cribbage tournament. Uncle Russ recommended to Jody that she play me because I would be "easy". I ended up being the big winner and skunked Uncle Jan to win. Here I am with the trophy and the "Loser". :-)
It was great to get together and see all of my aunts, uncles and cousins.

Holiday Concert

On Tuesday Ryan and Leah had their concert at school. For one of the songs Leah got to play the drum. Here she is....
Unfortuantely Ryan was way on the left side. If you look close you can see him behind the girl with the white fur.

It's Packer time!!

#85 Greg Jennings was at the Steinhafels in Menomonie Falls today. I got to be part of a very selective VIP group that got to sit in the room with him and have him autograph items. Ryan and Leah were able to be with me.

Signing a jacket...

Gymnastics

This fall Leah took gymnastics. Wednesday was here last class. I was pretty impressed with everything that she could do.

Here she is on the balance beam..

And doing a handstand on the balance beam - check out the nice form...
Here she is doing a flip off the fault..

At the end of the next session she will have an actual show that we will get to attend.

Bowling

Last weekend Ryan and the boyscouts went bowling for their pack meeting. He did pretty well. We rented out the entire bowling alley and brought in food for everyone.
Here he is with a group of friends.

Christmas Trees

Time for Christmas trees. We made rice crispy treats and Leah thought it would be fun to make them into trees and decorate them. So we pulled out the Halloween candy to see what we could find and this is what she came up with. The kids had friends over and they thought this was a lot of fun - especially eating them!

and....for the first time. I have a real tree. I went out in the crazy snowstorm today and pick one out. I got home only to find my tree stand was too small so....back out in the snow to get a bigger one. I find having a real tree with the pine smell and listening to Christmas music is really getting me in the holiday mood.

Scouting!

Well, it has been a while since I have updated and Ryan has been busy with Boyscouts. For the Halloween Pack meeting, each den got to make a scarecrow. Ryan's den decided to make a "Bear". Here is a photo of them with the Bearcrow.

They also got to shoot pumpkins with a paint ball gun. It was pretty fun. (I did it also) Ryan is on the far right, his face is covered up by the arm.

As you know, this year they sold wreaths. Last Saturday we got to spend the day in the cold selling them. Here is Ryan with some of his friends tracking down potential customers.

A couple of weeks ago the Pack also went ice skating. It was a lot of fun. Leah was pretty excited about going. Here is Leah skating.

And Ryan flying by.

No Cavities!!!

If you remember, the last time the kids were in Leah had 8 cavities....so we made some changes, cut out the bad fruit snacks, sugary foods, etc. and.....

Yesterday I took Ryan and Leah in for their regular checkups and cleanings. We found out that Leah has not one (like i thought), but 2 loose teeth. She is currently missing 4!

Everything went well and the best part was no cavities for either one!
