Back to School

Well, it is official. I am back in school. This fall I started an on-line MBA course at UW - Whitewater. I am going back to get my Masters in International Business. Due to a mess up in getting my correct transcripts sent, I started about a week and half late. I am only taking two classes this fall. It is not a difficult change to get back into the swing of classes, but doing it all on-line is a change. I just received all my class and log-in info on Saturday so I spent a lot of time this weekend on it trying to get caught up. I am struggling a little as I do not have my books yet. I just ordered those tonight. I have participated in the on-line discussions and we will turn in the weekly group project tomorrow. I still have to do the first project because I missed that week, but I need to get my books first. Hopefully I can get caught up this weekend. Thankfully they are each 6 week classes, so the second one does not start until the end of October and I will be better prepared.

First Day of School

Yesterday was Ryan & Leah's first day back to school. They were pretty excited about seeing all their friends again. Ryan has most of his friends in his class again this year. We met his teacher and she seems like she will be a lot of fun. Leah is in a class with a lot of new people - but is looking forward to making some new friends. She still gets to see her other friends before school, lunch, recess, etc. She has a super teacher also.
As this is the beginning of school it is also fundraiser time. Most of them went in the garbage, but we are selling entertainment books if anyone is interested. Some of you will be getting a postcard in the mail. The kids got a prize if they filled them out - so of course, they had to do it.

We also had the first Den meeting tonight for boyscouts. I was asked to be a den leader. Isn't the shirt lovely? :-) Leah has her first brownie meeting next week. Again - fundraisers! Ryan will be selling wreaths and will have them the weekend before Thanksgiving to deliver if anyone is interested. Leah will be selling girl scout cookies (yum) and nuts. WhoHoo!

That is about it. Just getting back into the school routine. Hard to believe that Ryan is in 3rd grade and Leah is in 1st already! How time flys.
